Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about what the product is, where data comes from, and how pricing relates to the codebase.
Is NutraTrak a medical or clinical product?
No. It is a personal food and hydration diary. It does not diagnose conditions or replace advice from a doctor or registered dietitian.
Where do nutrition values come from?
Food search is built around USDA FoodData Central style records so published nutrient values drive what you see in the diary.
Can I use NutraTrak for free?
Yes. The Starter plan is $0 per month and includes core logging, search, hydration, and custom foods. Paid tiers are outlined on the pricing page for when you add billing.
What do Plus and Pro unlock?
Starter stays on core logging. Plus ($5/mo) and Pro ($10/mo) unlock the in-app Analytics page (trends, top foods, daily rollups). Other paid benefits on the pricing page are roadmap items until you wire them.
Is my data portable?
Roadmap-friendly features like exports are called out on paid plans as coming soon. Until then, your data lives in the database backing your deployment.
Does NutraTrak work offline?
It is a connected web app. Use it in the browser when you have a network; offline caching is not a focus of the current version.
